stewed squash

WHAT YOU NEED
ABOUT 6-12 YELLOW SQUASH (depending on how may people you plan to feed)
1 MEDIUM ONION diced
1 TBS CRISCO
1 CUP OF WATER
salt pepper to taste
1-2 pieces of bacon(can omit this if your vegatarian)
WHAT TO DO
place squash/onion in boiling water(do not add any more water)
add crisco.place tight lid on pot,turn stove down to simmer,for about 40 minutes or so,till squash is stewed, and all water is evaporated...
(squash will make water of its on while cooking)

Sounds good to me Kim Perhaps some garlic would be nice too, in place of the bacon for those who wish to omit it. Thanks for sharing this easy to make squash recipe with us.
