Chickpeas

Hi everyone!

I am hoping someone can provide a recipe for chickpeas, something relatively simple and not too spicy, as I want my 18-month-old daughter to be able to eat it. I'm not looking for a salad, just something flavorful with every-day ingredients.

Thanks so much!

How about hummus? I don't have a recipe for you, but use the "search" function here and I am sure you will find some.

I used to just feed my daughter chickpeas just on their own when she was a year old. She LOVED them.

Thanks. I've never made hummus before, it should be interesting!

My sister makes a wonderful interpretation of shepard's pie with a little tumeric, cinnamon and sultanas or apricots or prunes in the lamb mince and instead of mashed potato she does mashed chickpea and celeriac on top. It is a beautiful meal, lovely year round and her kids loved it when they were little. Its one of my favourites, and it freezes well.

And if for some reason you do not feel like making it yourself, you can get it in most any supermarket. The store bought stuff is very good.
