I posted this recipe on the Cambell's cooking forum, and a few months later it turned up in one of their special collections, credited to the Cambell's Kitchen. I raised a stink, and they finally put my name on it.

Killer Baked Beans

1 lb. ground beef, cooked, crumbled and drained
1 lb. bacon, cooked, drained and crumbled
1 med. onion, chopped
1 can rotel tomatoes, including juice
1 large can pork & beans, drained, juice reserved
1 can chili beans, including juice
1 can baby limas, drained
1 can butter beans, drained
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup catsup
1/4 cup mustard
2 tbl bacon grease
Hot Sauce to taste.

In small bowl, microwave onions in bacon grease till soft. Mix all ingredients together except bacon, Mixture should be juicy, but not sloppy. Add juice from pork & beans if needed. Taste for seasoning, then turn into sprayed baking pan (I use an enameled hen roaster) and top with crumbled bacon. Bake, uncovered, and 350 degrees for 1 hour, or until hot and bubbly.
When my husband has meat on the smoker, I set the beans on the side and let them cook along with the meat.

*Options* Diagonally sliced smoked sausage is a delicious addition to this dish. You may vary the beans as you wish...sometimes I add canned crowder peas or great northerns.
