I don't know where they got the name for this recipe. Maybe it's the consistancy.
I just got this from another forum and it is NOT TNT. There was another post that indicated it was a good recipe.

Maybe some one here will give it a "go" and publish the results.

Instant refried beans
3 cups dried beans
3 tsp cumin
3 tsp chili powder
1 tsp salt pepper
3 T dried minced onion

In a coffee mill, food mill or blender grind beans untill flour
consistency. Combine all ingredients and store in a jar or bag.
to use

3/4 cup mix
2-1/2 cups boiling water

mix with a wire wisk and bring to boil, cover reduce heat to low simmer
for 4-5 minutes till mixture thickens. Mixture will thicken more when
cooled. add salsa or chopped peppers for extra zip.

Enjoy, Charlie

Here is a something we have done to make rapid refritos.

Take diced onions and saute for a minute or so in a frying pan in oil, butter, Crisco, lard or bacon fat (I prefer the bacon fat but anything works).

Then add a can or two of pinto or kidney beans, I would reserve some of the liquid.

As they warm, mash with a potato masher, adding additional liquid from the can as needed.

When the mixture comes to the right consistency, it is done.Toss in cumin, chili powder, hot sauce ad libitum.

At the end toss in some uncooked finely diced raw onions.

Put on a tortilla, top with some salsa, roll up and enjoy the burrito.

Or just use any way you wish.

Can do this in less than ten minutes and it is tasty.

Edited for spelling, I hate when I have to do that.
