ISO Easy Moussaka recipe
Does anyone have an easy moussaka recipe they can share. I would like to know the best topping and does it have to include yogurt?
Thanks for any advice you may have. Nina |

2 sauces...1 meat: beef and lamb ground, tomato, onion garlic, cinamon
2 bechamel: butter flour milk nutmeg layer slices of eggplant alternating these sauces. salt and pepper layers to taste. top with the bechamel and feta crumbles if you like. cover and bake for 1hr at 350*F (uncover last 15 min.) should be bubbly and yummy |

In Greece ,we rarely use ground lamb for the meat sauce. Basically we use ground beef. Make a thick Bechamel and the enrichen it with egg yolk and grated cheese. We fry our eggplant slices before we layer them. Also Slices of fried potato are frequently used for one of the layers.

We use the same meat sauce as we use for lasagna. The topping doesn't have to include yoghurt, however the best one we have taseted had a yoghurt and flour topping which was delish. Unfortunately I lost the recipe in our house fire.
