often whant to eat this fish.it is made by an special chinese fermented soya beans,it add some special flavour to the fish.

this ten years,some bright chinese invented caned this fish,i sometime eat them.them tasted good in another flavour.

Tat, I don't think it's nato. Nato is Japanese and uses bigger beans which are very sticky. The Chinese fermented beans are smaller and very salty. They can be yellow or black beans. What I see in Riverli's photo are the black fermented beans.
