Recipe for fruit of cashew nut?

Hello everybody,

i just found this forum and hope that somebody can help
me to find any recipe from the fruit of the cashew nut.
It seems to be common in Brazil to make juice from it ,
called cajuina or cajuana. But how ?
Any other recipe where the fruit is used is welcome.
In India the fruit from the cashew nut is thrown away
because nobody knows how to use it. One cn not store it.
I heared that in Brazil and perhaps other south american
countrys they know how to use it.

Thanks for any answer, link, idea

Nila

Think I read some where via Google that they make juice from it but I didn't really look that hard at it as I was searching for something else at the time.

Here is one recipe. Do a google search because there are many different recipe for cashews. The "fruit" is the cashew nut.

Thanks for your answers. I am really talking about the fruits.
Tried to put a link to a photo, it took some time until i understood that
this is not yet allowed to me. But you can find nice pictures on
google picture search. The nut is hanging below the fruit.

What you are referring to is the so called cashew apple.
It is not a true fruit but the swollen stem.
Here is a link that might give you some insight on the uses for this "false fruit".

Cashew Apple

I have yet to locate any specific recipes, but will keep looking.

Hi Nila, maybe I cheated but this is what I did about a link that was important to what I was asking about. I just kinda wrote it out - like cashew beef stir fry dot com - (just kinda made that up).
