Michael - Thank you - I haven't heard the term "pullman loaf" in a long time. I just thought tht it was a bigger loaf. O saw the pan on KA's site and wondered what it was for.

Dosen't fit in my current bread baking life, but good info and nostalgia.

Bread machine,what is that, mine is at the end of my arms.

Please take this as kidding. I have one and would use ot for some stuff if I could find it DW stored it "someplace".

A REAL loaf of bread to me is a free form loaf! Which usually means its long and thin and baked a sheet pan lined with parchment paper.

They can look quite beautiful
