I am so jealous. I cannot imagine getting up the energy to try it again. For those who don't know, cut a slice, nuke for a couple of seconds, smear with butter or philly. A thin slice of your favorite deli ham to top it. A holiday delight!

Don't go to any bother for the apple recipe -- if I'm feeling adventurous, there's the potica to work on. And before that, I've copied a maple nut cake recipe of Alix's to try. Of course, whenever/if you should happen upon the apple recipe I'll bet I'm not the only one to take a look. Thanks again for the potica.

Oh--thanks for reminding me! I haven't made potica in years. I think my recipe uses poppyseeds for the filling (well, not my recipe, a dear friend's granny's recipe).
