I keep a bottle of Goo Gone in the junk drawer for sticker adhesives.

Love that stuff....in fact I need to go put that on my shopping list because I'd run out awhile back.

Try a hot blowdryer I use is to loosen the glue on labels. |

A blowdryer? Really? Hmmmm. . . . well I tried the oil yesterday without much luck so I'll try a blowdryer next. I also heard somewhere that peanut butter works when you've taken off the sticker and there's just glue left. Kind of sounds like using peanut butter to get gum out of hair. I might try that too if the blowdryer doesn't work.

I'm going to try the other methods I've heard of for now since I don't have that on hand. I'll have my boyfriend pick up some Goo Gone on his way home from work if they fail though. Thank you all again!

I never had much luck with oil. I have used mayonnaise, though, with some success. However, I've had almost 100% luck with peanut butter. Doesn't matter if it's smooth or crunchy. I just smear on a nice thick layer, cover with a little plastic wrap and let it sit overnight. Most of the time, the sticker or whatever can be scraped off with my fingernail.
