My best Schwan's item

Every Wednesday, growing up mom made breaded chicken strips with mashed potatoes and gravy and cauliflower with cheese. This was the day our Schwans man delivered, we could not wait. The chicken was schwans #505, I remember this cause I always knew what door they were in.

Now, I am trying to teach my wife how to cook (she is a slow learner, or just not interested!! I think the latter) the chicken and cauliflower meal. But the chicken is great!!

Welcome to DC !!

That's so funny you remember the number ... must have made quite an impression on you.

DH loves their ice creams. We have not purchased from them since moving to Ohio but we used to get scallops from them that were exceptionally good. They were huge - bigger than a sea scallop and they were always very very tasty.

Hang in there with the wife .. find something she loves and that may be all it takes !
