I mean, how many times can she bolt upright in bed and **GASP** for
air???

I agee, I like to add a few more shows,

I want to add Punk'd, American Idol, America got talent, Britsh got talent, any of the cake challenges, Man vses Wild, A haunted "that shows on the discovery channel" And ghost hunters.

yeah, I heard that!! there are whole CHANNELS I avoid as much
as possible! I avoid the Speed Channel like the plague, but if I don't
guard the remote when the husband is around I have to suffer thru
hours of testosterone saturated car programs and racing shows.

That's Why I love car movies :)

I hate to say this, but I lost control of the remote somewhere in the early 80s. My mom says my husband watches the most boring TV on earth. Most of these shows I've never seen at all. My husband has this thing for news ... he watches all of them (CNN, MSNBC, the big three at evening time, etc, etc, etc as the king would say, old movies, and British sitcoms. I check out a half dozen books a week and pretty much ignore what is on the tube.

you're much kinder than I am!! if I let my husband have control of the
remote all of the time, I'd be subjected to the Speed Channel, SpikeTV,
(which has lovely programs on like '100 ways to die' or '100 stupidest
ways to die' or 'Stupid Criminals') or the History Channel with shows on
for 8 hours at a time about the history of trains. after filling orders
(I do woodworking/carving/painting) dealing with housework and
chasing a 3 year old 'caveboy' all day, when the little gremlin is in
bed and my chores are done you can bet the TV IS MINE!!!!!
so I'm teaching his computer illiterate self how to surf the net and
access his shows online if I really do NOT want to deal with his viewing
choices! he's happier now that he doesn't get snarled:mad: at if he tries
to take the remote from 'THE WIFE'!!:ROFLMAO:

p.s. is your hubby depressed a lot?
all that news would do it!;) (I'm just joking)

I had to laugh! I do occaisionally get to the point where if I see one more segment on a certain news story I will scream and turn off the TV! You can only ignore so much. But it could be worse, he isn't addicted to sports or other forms of TV violence. Once in awhile we joke that he's watching a silent movie, that there are so many eff words in a movie that get bleeped out! I'm 54 years old and have gotten through life with having used that word maybe a half dozen times, yet some movies can't seem to get through 90 minutes without using it a hundred or so times.

I invested in Netflix for my husband. It is great. He's ordering all these documentaries and BBC series.

yeah, you're right. I was in high school when Michael Jackson was
really huge, with Thriller and all that and it saddened me that he
became what he did and that he died the way he did. but, seriously.
they are STILL beating that dead horse in the news (pardon the pun).
and as long as I've been around, before it actually, there has been
the Kennedys. Teddy's death is pretty much the end of an era.
but here again, there are other things going on in the world.
reporters and journalists are not my favorite people, anyway. they
are kind of like vultures and they seem like it turns them on the
worse the news is!
I'm 43, and while I have to admit that I have dropped the 'f-bomb'
more than a half dozen times in my life:angel:it is really annoying to have
75% of the dialogue of the movies these days being swear words.
they might as well be silent movies when they run them on tv -
there is so much bleeping out you miss half of what's going on!
and we have a 3 year old, too. every once in awhile my husband
will stumble across something on the tube that is NOT a good idea
for my little sponge to be watching and I have to remind him HEY!
little boy here, remember??
yeah, netflix rocks. I just got a membership myself.

Operation Repo
Sweet life on deck
shes so raven
The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack
ICarly

Can you tell I have tween girls?
