Gotta go with Groucho (errrr... Hawkeye). One of the greatest TV characters ever.

Same show:
Colonel Potter or Lt. Col. Henry Blake

Couldn't stand Burns. Gotta go Hotlips on that one.

Looked better in drag:
Tom Hanks or Peter Scolari ('Bosum Buddies')

.

LOVED LOVED LOVED that show!!!

Actually, I think Peter played a better girl.

Another one:

Robin Williams "Mrs. Doubtfire"
or
Dustin Hoffman "Tootsie"

You're right! Peter was actually kinda hot and Hanks was homely. LOL I loved that show, too - - right from the opening song (My Life by Billy Joel).

Tough choice. I liked both movies but I thought Tootsie pulled it off better.

Giving Ellie Mae another chance:
Daisy Duke or Ellie Mae Clampett

Judy was cute and I couldn't stand Wilma's voice (I was always more of a Betty-man, myself).

Better Darren?
Dick York or Dick Sargent?

Dick Sargent
(Reminds me of how they switched the Rusty and Audrey on each Chevy Chase's Vacation movies)

Gladys Kravitz
or
Larry Tate?
