the best peach cobbler that i ever had was a few days into a backpacking trail in new mexico many years ago. the team leader actually packed in a cast iron dutch oven and cans of peaches to make us a cobbler before cutting us loose and going back to base camp. cooked by the coals of the campfire, it was amazing. i can still picture it coming out of the coals and opening the lid like it was yesterday...
