I read that last night. It is very sad. I hate that all the actors I've grown up with are leaving us.

Thanks Texas Girl. I hadn't heard this news. I have always liked him. I just read that he was married to Audra Lindley (Mrs. Roper from Three's Company for four years in the 70s. I loved them both but they seem like such opposites!

I always liked James Whitmore. He had a face and voice that always stood out in a crowd.

Yes, Barbara, that voice you could recognize with out even seeing his face. He was also a very versatile actor as well.
