Alex Karras, R.I.P.

Actor, NFL All-Pro Alex Karras dies - WBTV 3 News, Weather, Sports, and Traffic for Charlotte, NC I just read this a few minutes ago. I'm not a football lover, but I liked the TV shows and movies he and his wife Susan Clark did.

Sad to hear. I had read that he was on the ropes.

I think my all-time favorite character he played as an actor was Mongo in "Blazing Saddles".

And the horse punch. And riding into town on a brahma bull. And the campfire scene.

RIP.
