I don't see the benefit of this at all. You still need to stop and separate or re-attach the two parts. I think it's easier to just pick up a spoon.

I agree with Andy....too much fiddlin' around when one could be eating.
The name is a poor selection too, IMHO.
A somewhat better name might be Spoonsticks.
