Are cronuts the new cupcakes?

There was a grocery store that deep fried croissant dough and glazed them, OMG, they were good. Probably deadly but good!
 
no, but they have special "laminated" dough.


lol, lamination is all about binding layers together tightly, usually by temp and pressure. croissants are all about seperate layers barely held together by a crust.

but if they're good, who can fault a baker for poor english? :yum:

i'll be looking for them, much like when krispy kremes came here.

i doubt the franchised ones will be the same as the originals.
