I remember Palisades Amusement Park in NJ , which is gone too long time ago.

Me too, LC. And the Bronx Zoo. Those were always summer favorites.

Sad, very sad. I loved that place, and did not even grew up there, just loved to visit when ever I was in NY.

The DW and I wanted to go to Coney Is. on Memorial Day but she had to work.

I remember going to Long Branch boardwalk and Asbury Park as a kid.

Here in Des Moines we had riverview park which was a home town park for all ages.
they had 3 cent day for kids in the summer now it is gone. It was family friendly did not cost a ton of money to git in rides were cheap kids had wholesome fun. Now there is adventure land and it cost and arm and part of a leg to git and mucho bucks to ride. This not progress, now we have gangs, and drugs,. What ever happened to the good old days?????

Can you believe in all of my 12 years growing up in NYC my parents NEVER took us to Coney Island?
sheesh!
And I hear Yankee Stadium is coming down too?
Never got to go there either.
Bronx Zoo alot though.... and the Botanical Gardens.....

Never been to Coney Island nor Yankee Stadium either nor the Botanical Gardens but have been to the Bronx Zoo once years ago.
