Bacon is the key to a long life...

Texas Woman, 105, Reveals Sizzling Longevity Secret | ABC News Blogs - Yahoo!

Quote:
At 105, Pearl Cantrell has one "healthy" habit she swears by: a daily dose of bacon.

Cantrell's son Billy Allen, 81, said that along with a morning cup of "coffee pudding," or coffee with lots of milk, sugar and a biscuit, the Texas centenarian starts each day with a few pieces of bacon.

"Every day she gets up and [today she] said Bill 'I'm ready for my bacon,'" Allen told ABCNews.com. "[She] eats two pieces nearly every morning."

lol, b.

good one.
of the millions, maybe billlions or trillions of variables that can be considered that factor in to a long life (umm, how many bits if catg are in our dna, maybe it's more in genetics or epigenetics), claiming bacon is the trick is ludicrous.

unless you plan to die on thursday, nowhere near nortwestern pa..

theny you're safe.

pac, don't let the existence of elderly folks down.

That would be great if bacon really was the key to a longer life

There was a story in our local paper last week, there were 2 women here, one is 104 and the other 105 years old, saying that the way to a longer life is chicken, pasta and wine....so who knows LOL
