That is American style bacon. It's from a different part of the animal from Canadian or Irish bacons.

That only stands to reason. If you can add cheese to something, why not bacon?
Good for them. They have it there anyway. Put a price on it and lay a couple pieces that look nothing like the picture on there.
I'll betcha down my Pittsburgh (where the Big Mac was invented if you remember), they are coming up with a way to add fries to their Mickey D's, ala Primanti Bros. sandwiches.
