Post Bea Arthur 1922 - 2009

for all of us who watched "All in the Family" and "Maude" back in
the '70's and "The Golden Girls" in the late '80's and enjoyed the
awesome comedic presence that was Bea Arthur, it is sad to know
that she made her transition last nite. she was 86 years old and
had cancer. I wasn't aware of it, I just knew I hadn't really seen
her since '06 or '07. she was with her family.
I feel really sad!
she was a very memorable part of my childhood and into my
teens and 20's and every time I could watch her!
she was incredible and awesome and hilarious with her deadpan
delivery and I seriously feel grief that she isn't with us anymore.
the part of her that I knew, that I got to see, I loved.

ahhhh, well...have a safe journey, funny lady. we'll miss you.

I always enjoyed her, too. Her delivery was spot on. Now she and Estelle Getty can do encore performances for St. Peter and the crew.

they will both be missed. bea always reminded me of my sister, especially when she was maude. they looked and sounded very much alike.
