Caught some of this programme recently and was shocked at the amount of weight people were losing ! It amounted to losing a whole person !! That's mental .

This is a show that has been around and on the air for a long time. It is amazing the amount of weight that the contestants lose. I haven't seen the show for several seasons. But I can't help wonder if they have mental health workers available to the contestants. Losing a lot of weight for some is a big adjustment to make mentally. And without help in that area some will put the weight right back on. They also need the support of the whole family in accetance of the 'new' person that stands in front of them. And sometimes the family needs mental health assistance to learn how to accept this 'new' person.

It is pretty amazing. I know one of the previous winners makes a living now by speaking about raising awareness about obesity and helping kids with it and stuff like that. It's pretty cool
