Celebrity-the state of being celebrated: A famous or celebrated person
So, if the BarbaraL post and the Merriam-Webster definition don't specifically say "living" or "formerly living" person, they certainly imply (IMO) beyond any reasonable doubt that celebrities are supposed to be homo sapiens/humans, or what passes for them in polite society!
As much as we might identify with fictional characters, it is correct and fair to say, they don't qualify as once or current living, breathing humans.
It would be nice if we could hear from BarbaraL on the subject as the origination of the game was her doing and she should be the one to decree the interpretation.
And so apart from all the above, LOL this was a fun exercize and please carry on doing whatever floats your boat.
