From article:

An ingredient which makes chilli peppers hot, also triggers prostate cancer cells to commit suicide.

Tests showed that Capsaicin triggered 80 per cent of the cancer cells to start the process leading to cell death. It also reduced the size of tumours by a fifth with no major side effects in mice.

The rodents had been genetically modified to have human prostate cancer cells.

The chilli pepper wins again!!!

Great to hear!!
Hopefully full clinical trials will confirm the findings.

We grow our own chillis, don't what they are but they are really hot. Definitely Jalapenos. Ours are red, skinny & about 2 - 2.5" long.....

Not that I ever really needed a reason to eat hot peppers in the first place, but cool! <Pardon the pun..>
