I use GAIM for chatting (which combines all chat programs such as aol, etc). Recently I when I log on to GAIM I get a message that says " There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into the drive". What the heck? I can click continue, and all is fine, but why that message suddenly? I have v. 1.50 which is the most current version. Suggestions?

Marry a computer nerd. That's what I did and it solved all my problems. lol.

I have  and he cant figure it out either!

Sounds like it's a configuration issue of some sort.

While I'm not familiar with that program in particular, it appears that your PC is looking for something (a file, most likely) somewhere that is registering as an empty drive. Do any of your floppy or CD/DVD drives try to engage when (or right before) you get that message?

i use trillian as well and recommend it to everyone I know.

If you want to stick with the program you are using though, I would suggest as other have that you try re-installing it. It sounds like there is a missing file and the re-install will take care of that.
