I love to eat out .... love to cook, but also love being taken care of. I like lunch out best, especially if I have to drive. BUT many restaurants don't put their best cooks and menu items out at lunch, saving them for dinner (when they can charge more), so you wind up with stuff geared to someone who really wants fast food so they can get back to work. So for my own "biological clock" I like lunch, but for quality of food, dinner.

I'm with Claire on this one. One of the main reasons I go out to eat is to be taken care of or waited on. I like the atmosphere of the dinner hour, but I like going out for a nice filling lunch because then I usually skip eating dinner.

We, too, tend to skip a real supper if we go out to lunch. Maybe a bowl of soup. When I lived in Florida, we used to lunch out with Mom & Dad on Fridays, then eat a bowl of soup or cheese and bread by the pool for supper. Here we mostly do our meals out at supper on Friday eves (because that works best for our friends).
