Just off to sign up with a new GP. I haven't changed mine since I moved but my Doctor of 30 years in the old area has retired - inconsiderate man! He was the best Dr I've every had, and I'll miss him, largely because he treated me like a human being with a functioning brain and didn't have a hearing problem (That means he actually listened to what was said to him) Both of those attributes are not as common with Docs as one would like.

2 practices to choose from but not much between them. I'm going to the one which my late mother used (on the "better the devil you know" principle!). I rarely need the Doc - my last one commented that he hadn't seen me for over 2 years and diagnosed me as "disgustingly healthy" (I was only there for a prescription review for my gastric reflux meds).

I'm intending to live until I'm at least 100 so the less I have to do with Doctors between now and then the better!
