Dog/God

Where did the thread go with the poem about God? I never got a chance to copy it and now can't find it? Could someone help?

Thanks

It got removed? Egads. Now I'm scared again.
Sure would be nice if the offensive material was removed,
and an explanation of WHY was posted, at least for a day or two.

When a thread I've posted in gets locked or removed, it scares me away from
posting here more... because I never ever know the WHY.

Things just.... go away. We are left scratching heads and wondering.. what was
the problem? How can we avoid it in the future? Was it ME? What is unacceptable
about XXXXXX? oh my, is it safe to post anything?

rant over, sorry. hope I don't go away mysteriously too! LOL gulp

It was removed because a rule is no religion. It was a sweet little poem, but, religion was referenced.

GF, Now that the rant is over, take a moment for a quick re-readin of the community policies. Admins' and mods' actions are governed by them.

I'd like to weigh in here

I see religion mentioned a LOT in posts. I'm not a particularly relgious person, but it doesn't bother me when people are sending their prayers for this reason or that reason. I try to say my "thoughts" are with you so as not to step on any toes. And I do believe the g word is acceptable as long as it's not capitalized, isn't it?

I thought it was a cute little story... or tale. There are a lot of poems/stories that reference "the man" and animals that are pretty cool and almost fable like. If the G had been changed to a g, that would have been fine with me. Just so some of us aren't seeing the G word when we click on New Posts, as that kind of does add a religious overcast to the forum, but does this mean no one is allowed to send "their prayers" anymore? How about "It's December 25, what's everybody fixin' for Christmas dinner?"? Is that still allowed?

Sometimes censorship brings more attention to what you are trying to sidestep.

Just my .... about $15 worth

I want to apoligize, it was I who started the thread about _ _ _/Dog poem. I am an animal lover, especially dogs and horses. I forget about the reference to religion. I have refreshed myself on the rules and regulations of this forum and will remain an active poster. End of story! Now let's commence to cookin' and eatin'!

We never (or almost never) remove a thread or post or lock a thread without an explanation. If a thread is locked then we make a last post in the thread before it is locked to explain why. If a thread or post is removed or edited then we almost always (there will always be a few that slip through the cracks) PM the member with an explanation as to why to was removed or edited. If you find something of yours was removed and you did not get a PM then please feel free to ask. We will always be happy to give an explanation.
