Senior Cook
Hey everyone,
I just finished reading "Heat" by Bill Buford and found it to be quite interesting and enlightening. I certainly have no intention of ever attempting to be a professional cook/chef, but I do enjoy vicariously playing out these types of kitchen fantasies and am searching for a few more recommendations for similar types of books, i.e. what its like in the kitchen of a nice restaurant, experiences with the hierarchy, or other narratives simply about cooking.
I also liked "A Year in Provence" by Peter Mayle simply because the food/wine descriptions make me hungry/thirsty
Any thoughts? Thanks!
