I like mine with lettuce and tomato
Heinz 57 and french fried potatoes
Big kosher pickle and a cold draft beer
Well good God almighty which way do I steer

Oops... that was the little parrothead in me...:-p
Actually I like it either with melted fontina or gouda, avocado slice and tomato, or same sort of cheese and grilled onion/mushrooms, and grey poupon with whole seeds.

I cook hamburgers two or three times a year. Has to be made from home minced steak. Sometimes I add a little onion to the patty. I add a little Dijon mustard to the cooked patty... And that's IT!

.only the bottom bun. I don't like a lot of bread with my burger.
( so I can have more fries!!!)[/quote]

now i know why my hubby only has the bottom bun too:LOL:

i have three favorites black pepper with blue cheese,
mushrooms and swiss with steak sauce, and sharp chedder
bacon, and bar-b-que sauce. all with grilled onions

i am hungry now

burgerrrrrrrs

Well, I love a really good PLAIN hamburger with just Dijon mustard, but if I want cheese, it's gotta be BLUE, and not just any old blue! In order of preference,
Roquefort
Point Reyes Blue
Humboldt Fog
Bleu D'Auvergne.

I also like to bury a nugget of cheese in the middle of my burger.

On top, nothing but really good (read NOT Grey Poupon!) Dijon. :D

Oh! and please toast my bun!

Dang, NONE of you do mango chutney?!

Me, gotta be hot mango chutney, whole grain mustard, and sauteed onions, and TONS of coarsely-ground black pepper!

Burger: still moo-ing.

I like mine medium rare, with a slice of Velveeta cheese melting on top, mustard, relish, and either catsup or a slice of tomato if they're in season.
That doesn't mean I don't like other variations...bacon, mushrooms and Swiss on thick slices of toasted sourdough bread is delicious...still need mustard, though.
I can also handle a few thinly sliced caramelized onions, but no raw ones.
