I have a question. I know florists usually give you a small packet of something to help flowers stay alive longer. Well, that is not an option for me. But I thought aspirin were good for them also.

Anyone have a suggestion or two for me? Would be forever grateful.

I'm lucky enough to get fresh flowers from the SC every week from the grocery store. They include the little packets, but here's a list of things you could try..
The hairspray trick is interesting.

Thank you KL. I had to laugh at your being the recipient of flowers every week. Spike and I had a conversation about giving flowers yesterday. His wife always complained that he never brought her flowers. His answer always made her laugh. "Giving flowers are given when you have done something wrong." Since he always gave her anything she ever wanted except flowers, and had done nothing wrong, she only got them for her birthday and Mother's Day.

I did take one of the flowers and pressed it, then sprayed it with hair spray so it wouldn't fall apart. The rest got aspirin.
