...As for cooking, I watch more cooking videos on Utube than cooking shows on tv.

I'm very frustrated by Youtube cooking videos. They are almost always way too slow. The performer seems to talk really slowly and says way too much that's not important. Not to mention the poor cooking practices they use. The video PPO posted for carbonara was especially frustrating as it was presented in slow motion!

It's interesting how tastes aren't the same Andy. Sometimes I'm not so much interested in information, as I can always get that elsewhere. I saw that video as something really beautiful and so worth watching for the inspiration of cooking.

Here it is, for those who haven't seen it...

Kayelle, I knew we had different opinions on that video. I look to Youtube cooking videos as instructional not entertaining. So I want the important information presented in a clear concise manner.

I love PPO's cooking videos, mostly to watch HIS love of cooking. And he has killer recipes for Latin and Asian foods.

Hi, Jusnikki! It's good to see you again.

I love cooking shows. Sometimes I think it's love of good food porn!

I enjoy shows that give good directions like Sarah Moulton and Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummond.

I hate competitions. I get no enjoyment out of watching people scramble around like idiots and having to make food with odd ingredients.

I agree with you on disliking the competitive element. I tend to not watch those parts.
