Did some gardening this afternoon. Planted some daisy and butterfly weed seeds and more dianthus in our garden. I'll be posting pixs here soon once everything blooms. I'm so tempted to go buy more plants but afraid I'll break the bank account. I'll have to be patient.

Those daisies and butterfly weed seeds never sprouted. I went to get me some more geraniums and hibiscus. Wow! Did I get a bargain?! They were so cheap, I couldn't believe it! Hung them in baskets and they look gorgeous. The hibiscus will go in my corner garden to add some life to it. My garden is beginning to look alive now. Christopher had the time of his life watering the pots. Barefoot and with a water hose on hand, what 3 year old wouldn't have a blast?! Soon, our garden will begin to take shape and will take some pictures to show.

I am incredibly jealous of all those who are able to garden now...we're still battling the 20 degree weather and another report of snow next week . I will say that I uncovered some of my mulched flower beds and found some early snow drops and the beginnings of some grape hyacinth...even a hint of daffodil greens peeking out too. I recovered them though to keep them warm....spring, hurry up!

We're going to have a beautiful day here today and I can't wait to get outside. Thanks for that great tip about testing the soil raven.
I mostly keep a vegetable garden, as you can probably tell from my website.
What are you guys planning to plant this year?
