Happy Belated Birthday to BuckyTom

BuckyTom is an icon here on D.C. He is one of the best guys I know, and I know lots of people. B.T. is one of a kind, and he shares the same birthday as me, which makes us brothers in time, to go along with brothers in spirit.

BT, you're one of the best. Happy belated birthday, my friend. I hope your birthday was great, and that you were treated with love and respect from your family and friends.

Hey Bucky T, I hope your birthday was a really great one! If I had known sooner I would have made a big cake for both you and GW. Instead I will make sure I have a seaweed salad with my sloppy joe!

thanks, guys. it was a good b-day.

dw gave me a dick's sporting goods gift card, so i took my boy there tonight and we managed to buy $47 worth of lures and hooks for upcoming fishing trips.

the enthusiasm of my 6 year old boy is the best gift that i could have gotten, though. he's obsessed with nature and now with fishing, so it's just great to see how excited he gets about us going fishing together. we watch every show we can about fish and fishing, "river monsters" being our current fave.

he wants me to teach him everything i know, but it's been a while since i fished, canoed, and backpacked regularly, so i'm kinda rusty. but it's really brought me back to realizing how important it is to stop and smell the roses, and cut back on so much time at the grindstone. another great gift from such a tiny person.

well, thanks again, especially to my bro, g-dubya.

In the fishing off-season, teach yourself and your son to tie fishing flies. It's a good way to spend time on cold winter days. Plus, there's a special thrill to catching a fish on a fly patten that you created. And there is almost limitless info on the subject, and great places to get supplies, all on our frienly, neighborhood internet. Best of all, it's something you cna do with your son. Fishing and prayer with your kids, no better time spent on Earth. And if you can get your wife excited about it, then you've got a grands slam. Happy future fishing to you, my friend.

Hey BT, I had a drink to you on your birthday. Sorry I didn't post a hello, internet is spotty up here in the mountains. Hope it was a really good one buddy, sounds like it was fun with Ryan.
