I remember well, I was driving home from college when I heard on the radio the news of his death. Couldn't believe it.

I remember well, I was driving home from college when I heard on the radio the news of his death. Couldn't believe it.

How well I remember too Dawg. We were camping/water skiing at a remote and beautiful lake in British Columbia. My husband went to the village with some of the rest of our group and came back to camp to tell all of us that Elvis was dead. That night all the women in our group sat around the campfire until dawn listening to his songs on the transistor radio. It was so surreal to be so remote and far from home without a television. Lots of tears that night over his song "Are You Lonesome Tonight". I still think of that night under a full moon, when I hear it.
