Happy Hannukah from me too. And a question, what is the traditional meal at Hannukah? Or is there one?

Happy Hanukkah!

My friend Bern made chicken liver pate, cooked a beef brisket, carrots glazed with honey, potato pancakes with apple sauce, and Apple Strudel for dessert. I think that's pretty traditional, at his house, anyway.

Thank you so much everyone!

Alix, the traditional food for Channukah is potato latkas (potato pancakes) fried in oil. Channukah is a celebration of when the Macabees (Jews a long time ago :) ) only had enough oil to last one more night, but somehow it managed to last 8 nights. The food traditions are all about oil because of that. Potato latkas are the most well know thing, but anything cooked in oil works :chef:
