Help! Ballpen ink on leather...

Pls help pls! How do you remove ballpen mark from soft red leather? I accidentally made a mark on an expensive new wallet while signing for a credit card purchase .....

Don't quote me on this, but I have heard hairspray gets pen out.

hmm.. I know hairspray as a fixer (?) for anything... don't know if you will not reach opposite
I thought about alc, but I fear the color will be washed out of the leather...
so I have no idea...

It happened at the mall so I quickly dropped by the brand's store branch there and they said nothing could be done... They tried some of their cleaning fluid but it didn't work. Now alcohol .... (gulp)... I'll see about testing it first... Thanks guys...

try the alc at a place that can't be seen... some inner corner.. just in case it removes the red color

Well, I really balked at the alcohol so I tried a pencil eraser. It worked enough that the ballpen stroke faded by half. Now it's not noticeable anymore and only I alone will know it's there...
