Haven't forgotten all of my DC family. Life has gotten a little crazy for us...overwhelming.

We've moved from our home of 15 years. NEVER DOING IT AGAIN...EVER. I'm way too old and creaky.

Our new home is in town, about 9 minutes from the "Keeping her happy" farm in Brenham, TX. It's a custom home built in 1960 in the craftsman style. The link is to the marketing photos. The house is the same but the furnishings have changed. 703 W Third Brenham, TX 77833

We are just getting settled and have spent every minute of our free time working on various things in the house. I spent a lot of time fixing the backyard fountain yesterday. Today is all about hanging the framed art and other decorations.

DD Mandy is getting married in a few months and is currently occupying our guest house where she and her new husband will reside following the wedding until they can purchase a home of their own. The surrounding DRAMA keeps us on our toes...seven white horses and a carriage...really????
Not gonna happen princess.

My occupation/job just keeps growing all the time. In addition to my previous duties, I now manage infrastructure for two data centers. One of these is in Houston and the other is in the midwest.

I check in when I can but don't have lots of time to surf the net.

Good to see you again. Congrats on the new home and your DD's coming wedding.

What a beautiful home. Best wishes for you and your family.

Seven white horses? As my 2nd DH would say, "Sure, and the horse you rode up on." Keep your sense of humor on that one.

BTW, the oats are extra.

Beautiful home and the kitchen looks as though you could whip up a right smart acceptable bunch of vittles there. I love the back screened-in porch/deck area. I could live there.

Best wishes with the upcoming wedding. How 'bout a small punkin, some tiny white mice and a magic wand?! That might do the trick.

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: Good one Katie! Thanks for the belly laugh.

Beautiful home, .40! Congrats on that and the upcoming wedding!

Great to see you .40...you've been missed!

Your going to love those plantation shutters in the LR and the kitchen looks great.
What a great bonus to have such a nice extra house on such a huge lot! I hope your daughter appreciates having such a nice place to live back there, and far more valuable than six white horses and a carriage. ;):)

Thanks for the warm welcome and all the comments.

Square dancing...really. They made me hold hands with a girl and square dance elementary school. Allemande left...what in the heck is an allemande? I'd rather go fishin.

They should know that outwardly boys hate girls at that age. Now secretly, that's another story!

congratulations, .40, on your new home. the house and the grounds are magnificent. the interior is so light, airy and spacious. the elegant entertainment areas have an atmosphere that is warm and welcoming. it is truly a home to retire to, and never to tire of..... .40, as our primary architect for the dc coffee klatch building, i must say that the living, dining and porch areas of your new house put me in mind of the coffeehouse which you were the contractor instrumental in designing for our coffee and tea loving members--a beautiful and welcoming place of leisure, where luxury, comfort and good friends come together over a friendly cuppa.
