I just lost a good friend

A WW2 veteran that was in his 80's. He had a bout with cancer and a brain clot that did him in. I am glad it was not long a fight, I was very worried about how his widow would handle it but I am also glad he did not suffer too long. IMHO we just lost a national treasure. I just went fishing with him this last summer. I will say fair winds and following seas to my dearly departed comrade. God bless him and his family.

Thank you all for your replies, thoughts and hugs, I have already been approached by the Legion Chaplain to represent the Son's of the American Legion at the service. I will call the widow Monday by then she would be more up to talking. Thanks again.
