On my way into the library this afternoon I saw it in the carpark.... a 1930s Alvis roadster in beautiful condition - better than my 2006 Renault. Maroon body and lovely shiny chrome. A bit muddy so obviously used and loved by more than me. I stroked it!

I may have to lie on the bonnet, wait for the owner and make him marry me.

Actually, those "fog lights" were pretty common on prewar cars, especially in Europe.

God, those are beautiful cars. What I wouldn't give...for those who want to see some really nice old cars (at stupendous prices), I have a link. Sometimes there's nothing there and other times I have to wipe the drool off the monitor.

It's always makes me giggle when someone says they drive a modern Renault. All I can think of are the Renault Le Cars that used to sputter around here many years ago.

That being said, I am sure yours is a fine automobile.
