Yeah definitely get a hands on experience. Like I added to the post above, I'd get an "island keyboard" as they are a lot easier/nicer to type on than the older keyboards like you're used to.

That just means there is more space in between each key, so each key is like an island -- thus easier to type on. Older laptops didn't have them usually.

Thanks. I thought it meant something about the overall shape. Yes, I prefer ample space between the keys because I have large hands (for a woman) and very long fingers.
