Does anyone know much about this? I've looked around on line but I'm not sure how serious it can be. My levels were around 9, which is low. Apparently it can mean....

A. Decrease in muscle mass
B. Severe liver disease
C. Pregnancy

When I was at the hospital in April for drug detox, my liver toxin levels were high. My latest UA from rehab came back with low creatitine levels. This does concern me. Sadly, I don't have insurance right now to see a doctor about this. I'm pretty sure I'll have a job next week (interviews went very well) so I'll have insurance soon.

I guess I'm just looking to see if anyone else has any insite on this.

Thanks.

Edited to add: I'm aware of what might have caused this, but I'd rather not post it on a public board that is PG. You can PM me if you need more info.

Angie - Try taking milk thistle - its great for your LFT's - I am going to PM you with more info - I may be able to help you and am familiar with these tests as I use to draw the blood and send it to the lab -

Thanks!

Holy cow, it costs $16 to post a question!

You can read the posts for free. But $16 is still cheaper than $75 for a doctor's visit to ask the same question and a toss up as to whether you are going to get a direct answer there. Sometimes the doctor just smiles and writes a prescription and if you persist the doctor will send you to a specialist!

gosh you guys need free health care!!

dont worry about your liver values.

just change your lifestyle and eat clean, take some milk thistle.

the liver regenerates better than any other organ. it's a resilient SOB.

it's relaly hard to permanently damage your liver.

An adult Creatinine should be 0.6 - 1.5 mg/dl

The doctor replying on the link StirBlue posted said this:

Many, many things can raise the creatinine level - including dehydration, medication, urinary obstruction, intrinsic kidney disease, hypertension, and diabetes to name but a few.
So there are lots of things that could be causing your problem. IMO, it would be best to discuss your situation with a health care professional who has had the opportunity to examine you, take your medical history and review your lab results.
