For all of us here who love to try new recipes, especially fly fisherpersons, here's a new topic. Paymaster chose as his avatar, a picture of a willow fly dry fly. For all of you that don't know the jargon, instructions for tying various fishing flies, be they streamers, dry flies, or nymphs, are call recipes, and can be very simple to very complex. There are a host of different types of flies, too numerous to name here. But for those who dabble in the art of fly tying, please share pictures and recipes of any flies you are particularly fond of, or that you have created. I will post a picture of a streamer pattern that I call "Steelhead Deciever". I tied it a year or so ago and will have to take a good look at it to remember exactly what went in to the minnow initator. It's not much to look at dry, but when wet and moving though the water, it looks amazingly like a inch long shiner. I've had good hits on it and am rather proud of my creation.
In the meantime, if you have pictures of your flies, and recipes, please share.
