I entered in the Delaware Enduro Riders Hare Scramble last Sunday. It rained a ton, was even a tornado watch. The race started at 1pm and lasted 2 hours. My class was C-Vet. First 3 laps I was 6th, 8th and 7th respectively. 28-33 minute lap times. I (meaning my body) ran out of gas. I crashed alot, picking up a muddy bike can drain a person. I wound up finishing 11th. One more lap and I may have made top 5. Oh well, was my first hare scramble, I'm a Moto guy. I plan on doing better next year. There were huge mud pits scattered about that would suck up half of your bike. I don't think I was ever that dirty.

A short video. You can see some of the bikes still standing upright stuck in the mud. LOL
Blue Diamond Annual Hare Scramble - November 16th, 2008

We just set up cone courses at local short oval tracks, and we have one big race in the parking lot at Miller Park.

I've only ridden a motorcycle a few times, and that was mostly on neighborhood streets and some easy trails. It looks like you guys had a blast!

It was alot of fun, but tiring. I played it safe and pulled off before I hurt myself or my bike. You can see in that video where I could have been.....and most of those guys were a loooong way away from the pit area.

Great photos! I love the one of you and your bike covered with mud. Glad you had fun!
