I will have to come up with a fish eye pattern to tie!
It was amazing, PM! We always bought minnows when we gassed up the boat, and for some reason, we ran out of minnows. So Dad gouged out a couple walleye eyeballs, and we reused them all day and caught our limit! Dad was thrilled, and we both thought we were on to something. They're kind of chewy, so reusable. The next day, we tried eyeballs again, did not work.
They're great for emergency bait. Looking forward to your tie eyes!
