Lava Lamp Turns 50

I've always thought these lamps were cool but never owned one myself. But I thought they've been around for much more than 50 years...

Wow .. can't believe it's been that long ! I had a few in my time. DH still has one. It's all nasty looking inside now so I won't let him light it up anymore.

They were the must have piece of decor for a while and boy did they come in great colors.

Still can't believe it's been 50 years !
