you figure your phone is nearby. 'twas nearby yesterday, noon-ish. by your coffee table.
'cept you phone isn't there anymore.
mild, vague panic ensues. 'that phone was there when i called work.'
'where's my phone? under my couch?
(you peek beneath that couch, trying to be calm as you frantically repeat to yourself that your only way of retrievieving your wife, surgeon's office, & work #'s would be via that programmed cell. your wife is pregnant with twins & kinda moody, so mentioning that you'd like to request her cell phone # may not be great.
you prepare to sleep on your couch. shaky now, not quite quivery, yet near frantic...
'maybe i left my phone at jake's. maybe at work. i'll just call- awww, &*@#, my battery's low. ugghhhhhhhhhhh! i'm not gonna find my phone. i so lost my phone, my contacts....
