Mermaid Man has died!

ernest borgnine, an academy award winner and most recently the voice of mermaid man on the cartoon "spongebob squarepants" has died.

After all, we are all the same in different ways; some slight, some great. But we are family.

All I really need is love, but a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt

Ernest and William Bendix were among my favorite 'ordinary man' actors.
Wonder if 5 wives in 25 years contributed to his longevity?

95 years young, I will miss seeing him every so often.

Oh, he was one of my Dad's and my favourites. He could do comedy and drama better than anyone but like jpb said, he was an "ordinary man".

Wow, 95! RIP McHale/Marty/Ernest.
Living gluten/dairy/sugar/fat/caffeine-free and loving it!

back when i was a kid, borgnine was the bestest, most sinister villain in films--loved and feared him equally. sorry to see him leave us....

McHale's Navy was a family fave. Loved "Marty" and " The Poseidon Adventure.". RIP.

"Ice Station Zebra" and Dominic Santini on "Air Wolf". He will be missed.

If you're gonna make a Key Lime pie, you have to use real Key Limes!
