Wow, news show just announced it's been 25 years since John Lennon was shot in NYC.

Candlelight vigils going on, of course.

Can't believe it's been that long.

But then again, it's been a long strange trip since 1980, at least for me.

25 years... wow. That just makes me feel old!! Very Old!!

Yes, definetely makes me feel old... I was never particularly a Beatles or Lennon fan and I was only 9 at that time, but I knew him fairly well as I remember my father listened to them and him quite often. I remember quite clearly and in details when I overheard the newsflash from the television while I was trying to get the red roof right on the Lego-house I was trying to construct, I was quite surprised because it was just few days after my dad just had bought Double Fantasy album and was quite excited about it, and I was thinking "Starting Over" was a pretty cool tune.

It is indeed hard to believe it has been 25 years already. However IMO Imagine is one of the greatest songs ever written in the recent history and I believe it will live on in the heart of so many people for a long, long time to come.
